I’m New

Welcome to Concordia Lutheran Church

hyacinth-1280We hope you will choose Concordia as your spiritual home. Just as you need the church to help you grow and remain strong in the Christian faith, the church needs you to accomplish its work. Feel free to speak with our pastor or other members about our congregation. We think that belonging to a congregation like Concordia will not only bless you as it has blessed others, but it is a church with the kind of spirit that can give you an opportunity to also be a blessing to others. We invite you to establish your membership and church home with us here at Concordia Lutheran.

What to Expect

We invite our guest worshippers to feel at home, to look around and take this opportunity to make new friends and renew friendships. Pick up a copy of the devotional booklet Portals of Prayer, our newsletter The Windsock, a membership application, or any other literature in the lobby. Enjoy the fellowship. Ask questions. And, by all means, worship with us again.

AltarWe welcome our communicants to the table of the Lord. Christ invites all baptized believers to joyfully and gladly participate in the Sacrament of the Altar as penitent sinners who are given the assurance of the forgiveness of sins as they receive the real presence of Christ – his very body and blood – with the bread and wine of the Sacrament. Children may come with their parents to the altar for the blessing. Youngsters who are not yet confirmed as communicant members are encouraged to fold their hands or keep them below the altar rail. This will help the server and the Pastor identify those who are to be communed. Those who for medical reasons cannot consume alcohol may receive non-alcoholic wine, which is placed in the center row of the individual glass communion tray. Those who do not wish to climb the steps to the altar rail may receive the Sacrament by standing below the first step before the remainder of the congregation is communed.

A nursery attendant is available in the Fellowship Hall for children age three and under during the Sunday school hour and Sunday worship. The Young Family Worship Room is also available for parents with small pre-school age children. An usher will be happy to assist you.
