Today's Light

The greatest predictor of growth in a person’s faith is the amount of time they spend learning the Word of God.  Today’s Light is a guided daily reading of the Scriptures followed by a Sunday wrap-up in the Bible Class hour at 10.  Concordia’s Facebook page is updated daily for Today’s Light and may be found here.

Mid-Week

Wednesdays 10:00 a.m.

The Mid-Week study covers various topics related to the Scriptures.  This class meets at 10:00 on Wednesdays.  They are currently studying John 3:16.

Financial Peace University

Coming soon!

Financial stress is one of the greatest challenges facing modern day America.  Financial Peace University helps teach participants how to spend within limits, plan for the future, and utilize their blessings to be a blessing to others.

Confirmation

Wednesdays 6:00 p.m.

When a child reaches the age of twelve, or whenever her parents feel she’s ready to begin, a period of Catechetical instruction begins and lasts for two years.  At the successful completion of instruction, the child is presented to the congregation to make confession of their faith and receive the Rite of Confirmation.  Confirmation takes place on Wednesday evenings at 6:00.

Little Lambs

Sundays 10:00 a.m.

Let’s be honest, toddlers can be tough!  At Concordia we begin Sunday School for our children as early as the parents are comfortable.  The Little Lambs class is designed for parents and children.  A very simple Bible story and songs are shared with the class then the children have opportunity to play while the parents console one another and share tips and tricks toward toddler survival.

Children’s and Youth Ministry

Sundays 10:00 a.m.

Jesus says, “Let the Children come to me, and do not hinder them, for the Kingdom of Heaven belongs to such as these.”  We strive to provide excellence in education for all of our children using age-appropriate materials in the Bible Class hour on Sunday mornings at 10.

Fellowship

So here’s big news, Concordia is moving!  In our new facility we are planning to launch a number of new ministries including:

THINC- Theological integration of news and community – a weekly, multi-generational conversation about world events and their implications to/for/within faith and life.

PPG- People Playing Games – a weekly, multi-generational assembly of people gathering to play cards, board games, hoops, or whatever else happens to be on the play list.

Our new facility will have an industrial kitchen that will be utilized for the nourishment of those in need. It will also have showers.

We anticipate God utilizing the new facility to serve as a shelter in the event of bitter cold, hurricane evacuations, catastrophic floods, or other significant loss.
